Message Template: Including an external link

I want the ability to include a link to a job aid on the Adobe Sign process specific to my client base, but am unable to use standard HTML tags  - they simply appear as plain text.  How can I include link without it needing to be shown as a URL.  Our internal links are long and unattractive.  Thanks.
