More than one instance of same signer, in order

I work for a manufacturing company that uses Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) that I'm looking to digitise. The ITPs require multiple signatures at each manufacturing step in an ordered sequence, where the same signer needs to sign at different points (e.g. Signer1 > Signer2 > Signer3 > Signer2 > Signer3 > Signer1). Each step cannot progress until the appropriate signer has signed and released the previous one.

I am currently handling this by adding signers in sequence at the design phase, which works well, but Adobe Sign treats each entry as a different person - how can I get it to recognise them as the same person at different points?

Hi benh39387847,

Thank you for reaching out.

Could you please explain the questions you have? What does "Adobe Sign treats each entry as a different person" mean?

It would be helpful to share more information about what you are trying to do here. Let us know what you mean by "recognize them as the same person at different points?"  when sending a document for signature.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Hi Meenakshi, thanks for replying - to clarify, by 'treats each entry as a separate person', I mean that Adobe considers that each entry of the same person is treated as a new individual i.e. a whole new signature block is added to the document each time, and when fully signed & completed, each signer receives multiple copies of the completed document (as many times as they were entered, so in this sequence 'Signer 1 > Signer 2 > Signer 3 > Signer 2 > Signer 3 > Signer 1 > Signer 2', Signer 2 is emailed three copies of the completed document at completion).

Hope that makes sense.
