Multiple Initials and final Sign off on QA document

Please can you assist me with this query on Adobe Acrobat DC. We have a number of QA forms that go through a process of getting initials from the client and the engineer on multiple sequential items and then once the entire activity is completed a final signature from both parties. The process is shown below:

  • the engineer starts the process by confirming checks have been undertaken on first few items, then initials the document & submits to client
  • the client confirms he has checked these same items by way of initialling them and sending the document back to engineer.
  • This leads onto the next set of items on the document and the document goes through the same process as above.
  • Once all items on the document have been checked (Initialled) each party will sign off at the bottom and the document is filed.

The problem I have is that after the first run the document is locked and I cannot re-submit for further signatures from the same parties.

Hi Wokamandizzi,

Sorry for the delay in response.

As you have mentioned above, you need multiple signatures on a single PDF form.

To get multiple signatures on a single form, you will need to assign the signer for each signature field.

You can take help from the steps provided in this help document: Get multiple signatures on a single document |

Once you assign the field, the document will not get locked on the first signature.

Let us know if you have any question.

Regards,

Meenakshi

I understand this process where there are a number of different signatories signing the form. The document won't get locked until the final signature is applied. For my exercise however, it is the same two signatories that need to sign the document on multiple occasions sending it back and forth between each other until all activities requiring sign off are completed. Is this possible?

I need assistance with this issue as well. For quality purposes the document must be signed by the same person at different steps in the approval process. Did you figure it out?
