Question

Multiple signers, but I go last

Hi there, I just stated using adobesign last week. I am a property manager, using it to do apartment leases. We want the tenants to sign first (in any order), but the rep from our company to sign last.

My current work-around is to use the setting "sign in any order", then watch as the emails come to me saying "tenant 1 has signed", "tenant 2 has signed", etc. Once I see that all tenants have signed, then I need to go back and sign.

The problem is that if I miss one of the emails, then I don't know if it is my turn to sign yet.

Is there some way to get a report that tells me in a single glance which signers have and have not signed? I have looked at the "manage" page, but it does not seem to include this info.

Thanks

On this test there were 2 signers entered, I was the second one, yet it still asked me to sign immediately after I pressed the "send" button.

A related problem: this document contains fields which need to be pre-filled before sending. However the screen where I am "required" to sign, is the same screen where I am asked to pre-fill the fields. So if I skip signing by closing the browser, it means that the document gets sent to the tenant with all fields EMPTY.

That's a real problem when we are talking about lease documents where the tenants name, move-in date, and rent amounts need to be filled in!!!

Hi bpwbpw,

If you are the second signer on the document it shouldn't ask you to Sign the document first.

I replicated the issue at my end and it worked perfectly.

I added 2 signers in the recipient fields (U was was 2nd Signer), added fields on the document that needs to be prefilled but the sender, added Signature fields for both the Signers and assigned the signature fields.

I was prompted to refill the data & send it to the 1st signers, once the 1st Signed signed it the document came back to me for Signature.

Please reply to my private message.

Aadesh

Hi bpwbpw,

As informed before please enter the email addresses in the sequence you want the Signers to Sign the document.

If you want to be the last signer on the document, please add your email address at the last in the Recipient fields instead of first.

Feel free to reach us back if you have any query or concern.

Regards,

Aadesh

Hi bpwbpw,

Please follow the below workflow to achieve your goal:

1) Login to your Adobe Sign account using the below link:

2) Navigate to "Send", enter Signers email address in the sequence you want them to Sign in the "Recipient" field, if you also need to Sign the document please ass your email also.

3) Add your file by click on the "Add file" button.

4) Click on "Preview & Add Signature Fields" check box & then click in Next.

5) Now make sure you have placed Signature fields for all the signers including you, double click on the Signature fields & make sure that the role is assigned to the correct Signer.

Once done, please send the document Out for Signature.

*To check the status of the document, go to Manage page -> select the document hat you want to track & click on History button at the right.

Regards,
Aadesh

Hi Aadesh thanks for the reply.

When I tried these instructions, it asked me to sign the document before sending it out to the other signers.

But I'd like to be the last to sign, after all the others are done.

Is this possible?

Thanks

Here is an example of what I mean... it will not allow me to send the document until after I sign...
