Not all in document can be viewed 'in progress'

Hello,

The in progress status shows 18 in progress, however, I cna only see 6 documents in progress. 

I can however search for the docuemnt in the search bar, but I am wondering if there is a setting that I cn change to enabe me to view all the doicuments in progress.
