I sent a document out for signature. I get it back signed. Now I need to import that document into another PDF but I get a error saying doc is protected???

I did not add a password to this document. How can I fix this. This signed document is totally worthless if it cant be imported into my other document

    ++Additional Info

    It's not quite clear what does it mean when you say "Import". Since you have mentioned the document in signed, I would like to add on few basic points here-

    • Signing is final process, once done your document is restricted to make any further changes in it. Signing makes a document secure, so that it will be prevented from further activities.
    • Whether you have applied any password security or not, it completely depends on document's properties applied at the time it was initially created. Its not in your control, unless you are the creator of it.

    Thanks,

    Akanchha

    Hi Charlesa,

    Sorry for the trouble you had.

    As you have mentioned above, you are trying to import a signed document in other PDF. When you say "Import", do you mean combining the PDF or attaching the signed document with the PDF?

    Please provide us the exact workflow you do to import the signed document.

    We will be waiting for your response.

    Let us know if you have any questions.

    Regards,

    The document is protected to prevent modification of the signed contents. You wouldn't want to have the terms changed after you signed a contract. What you can do, is import the PDF as a file attachment into an enclosing PDF (portfolio). That way, the security of the signed document is preserved.

    Still idiotic. I should be able import as a flat document. Adobe literally has the worst support for this product. No support
