Radio buttons with no labels

Is there a way to create a radio button with no label with tags?

I have a third party form that has two check boxes pretty close to the paragraphs. I can make a square radio button to overlay that section of the document line. The white space from the empty label overwrites the text on the background image.

Alternately, a way of doing a logical "OR" to the bits so that white space does not replace what is under it would work as well. Something like transparancy.

Tried no label attribute, empty, single space .
