Question

Same document, same recipient and same signatures but at a different times.

I have a "training sheet" to send out to employees. I would like to send to same document to the same employee each month and have them sign each month but in a different area each month. Is this possible? For example:

Jan       |  fire training        |  signature   <-- signed when completed in Jan.

Feb      |  ethics training   |  signature   <-- signed when completed in Feb.

March |  documentation |  signature   <--signed when completed in March

Also open to suggestions.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

The workflow you are trying to achieve is possible but not with a single static document that reopens. Instead, you’d generally re-send the form each month with either:

  • A new signature field placed for that month, or
  • A reusable template that auto-generates a monthly form https://adobe.ly/3NkqygL

Try the steps as below:

  • Create your “training sheet” as a PDF form.
  • Add form fields for each month (Jan, Feb, Mar, etc.).
  • Each month, send the same form to the employee for signature. They sign in the designated month field.

Hope this information will help

Once the "training sheet" is created and then signed. How can the sheet be reused? For example if an employee signs it for the month of January. The form is locked and I cant seem to add a signature to another field for the month of Feb using the same form.

Hi Thurl23213104wpx5,

In Acrobat Sign, once the document is signed and filed, it cannot be reused. As you wish to send the same document each month, it should be a continuous flow of the document. Please share the template for the training sheet so we can check and understand the workflow. That will help us to share the correct steps.

Thanks,

Meenakshi
