Same Person to Sign and Approve an Agreement

I have run into problems with being able to both sign (along with other individuals) and then subsequently approve an agreement (I am undertaking two different project roles). After all the signatures have been gathered, I click the link on the email to approve but it says I am logged in already. I then click the sign out box, sign in again but then there are no options to approve.

Is it inbuilt inot Adobe Sign that the approver is always a different person? I maanaged to work around this by using a different email address but don't wish to do this in the future if I can

Might another solution would be to put my 2nd signature as a Stage 2 signature (so I sign after everyone else has signed). This allows me to use the same assurance process (sign the form once all signatures gathered) but maybe allowing me to use the same email address/account
