Sign in Bulk: It's forcing sender to sign before sending, only want recipients to sign
Hi All:
Running into issues testing/setting up a Send In Bulk. The document tests perfectly as a self-sign or sending to a single recipient. But when trying to use same document with Send in Bulk (the real thing we need to do), its doing two things we don't want:
- including me (sender) as a signer - Sign makes me (sender) sign form first; it doesn't let me fill out fields recipients fill out (which is fine), but does want me to sign it.
In the preview, I can see me listed in the right pane even though no field is assigned to sender. My button is only "Sign, Then Send." And when I click that, I get this warning "There are recipients who need to sign this document that do not have a signature field assigned to them. You can go back and add signature fields or we will add a signature block for those recipients. Do you want to review or send the document?"
The document will only go out to other receipients I listed in Send in Bulk only after I sign (it adds a signature block for me). In this use case, only the recipient should be signing the agreement, not both the sender and recipient. How can this be done where only recipients sign?
When Googling this, on the initial Sign setup screen, screencaps show a checkbox underneath where you can indicate "I need to Sign." My screen does not have this checkbox -- is it controlled by a group setting (and what setting is it?) - not accepting CSV file of recipients unless email is field in form: the form didn't require email address as a field -- just name, two fields they recipient fills out with numbers, a calculated field (divides the numbers), signature and date. To use the CSV import of recipients, does the form have to have a email field? That's the only way I can seem to get CSV import to work.
Other Notes:
- original file is Word using Adobe Sign tags to specify the fields
- nothing is prepopulated, the only fields are the ones described above in point #2
- I'm using shortened tags since the document must be 1 page, the normal tags are at bottom of page
