Signer can't change pre-filled fields

Hi All,

 

I have a simple customer sign-up template. I will pre-fill the form with customer name and details and the products they have selected

 

In some cases, at point of sign-up a customer will select a higher service level so I need the customer to be able to override the product selection as he signs the form

 

I have the check boxes set as 'Anyone'

 

My workflow is to pre-fill the template and then send to particpant 1 but he is unable to change the selection I have made during pre-fill

 

Can you advise please ?

Hi John,

 

Thanks for reaching out. If you assign a check box field to "Anyone", it makes the field available to each recipient in turn, until someone enters content into the field. Once a field has some content (in your case you pre-filling some products), the field content will be locked against further editing for all subsequent recipients. That's why they are unable to make changes to the pre-filled product list.

 

Is it required for you to pre-fill the products too? If not, I believe the best way would be to assign the check boxes to the customer and have them select the appropriate products themselves. You may continue prefilling other information on the form. I hope this helps!
