Question

Since May I have been experiencing issues with documents sent via workflows where I need the participants to attach files. This had been working well all along and my settings have not changed.

Since May I have been experiencing issues with documents sent via workflows where I need the participants to attach files. Sending the template works fine but if I send the document via the workflow the participants are unable to attach.

    Hi BaniVerma, 

    1. I’m using Acrobat Sign Solutions (for enterprise) via Admin Console where I have my templates and workflows.  I also have a Power automate flow that triggers the signing workflow within Adobe acrobat sign. I have attached a screen shot for this as well.

    2.The participants do not get any errors, when they click on the attachment button the file explorer window to navigate to where the file is located does not open at all.

    1. This is happening for all recipients across different workflows and different browsers and devices.

    As we checked, you are using the Acrobat Sign Enterprise account and are experiencing issues with the attachment field in the workflow only. This needs to be checked on the backend. We suggest that you please directly contact the Acrobat Sign Entperise support team to get this checked, as it requires the backend access. You can use the steps suggested in the following help document: Adobe Acrobat Sign Customer Support Resources.

    To make sure we point you to the right fix, could you please share a few details:

    1. Which Adobe application are you using to send these workflows? For example, Adobe Acrobat Sign (web), Acrobat Sign within Acrobat, or Acrobat Sign Solutions via the Admin Console.

    2. What exactly happens when the participant tries to attach a file? Are they seeing a specific error message? Do you know if the attached field is greyed out? Does the upload fail silently, or is the file attachment field missing from the agreement altogether? A screenshot from the participant's side would be very helpful here.

    3. Is this happening for all recipients across all workflows, or only specific ones? And does the participant see the issue regardless of browser or device?


    Once we have these details, we'll be able to look into this properly and guide you to the right resolution.
