System sending Reminders continously while Automatic reminders property is set false in salesforce

Hi,

I am sending agreement using apex code in salesforce system. But I have notice the reminders for sign is sending contibously even when Automatic property(echosign_dev1__Enable_Automatic_Reminders__c) is set to false in system.

Can anybody helps to know if anyhow we can control reminders notification at the time of sending Agreement for sign?
