Text field Cutting of Text when Sending for Signature

Every once in a while when sending a document for signature using adobe sign different text fields will cut off the bottom lines of the text field when there is plenty of room in the field still available. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?

Same issue here. Has this been resolved?

Hi Kindhearted_calmness5046,

Thank you for reaching out.

Please let us know how you are adding form fields. Do you experience the behavior with all the forms you send for signature?

It would be helpful if you could share the screen recording of your complete workflow. Also, share the screenshots of how the text appears in the form field.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Same issue here as well and already verified it is set to auto. Hope someone has some answers.

I have this same question. When I circulate the document for form field entries and signatures, the text in the form fields don't auto-adjust to the length of the form field entry and so it gets cut off with NO WAY of accessing the rest of the form field entry because it is locked when it gets signed. This doesn't make sense? How can I view the rest of the field when Adobe doesn't give me any way to view the rest of the content?

Hi @tduez — I just did some testing and believe you can prevent this from happening by ensuring that the text field in your document has a font size that is set to "Auto".

If the font size is set to, say, 14, and someone writes ten lines of text in a space designed to fit three, then the text does seem to get cut off. This is obviously not ideal, but I think this is what you're experiencing. If you set the font size to "Auto" (see below) then the text will render in the final document at whatever size is necessary to show all of the text entered. In the example given, this might mean that the text is rendered rather small, but none of the content will get cut off. "Auto" is the default setting for text field font size.

Hopefully this helps. I will flag what you're experiencing to our product team.

The font size was set to Auto when I uploaded the form and when I look at the form properties of the template, it is also set to Auto.
