Text tag - left/right characters in field

Is it possible to create text tag that grabs only the first few characters on the left or right side of the field, like the LEFT or RIGHT functions in Excel?

How can I write that tag pls?

Hi,
Thanks but this doesn't get me in touch with support. I've tried before
too.
It takes me on a continuous loop of signing in multiple times on various
pages and it's just been a waste of time.
