Transient document API make pdf field mandatory

When uploading a PDF document to the TransientDocument API endpoint, I wish to make one specific field mandatory for Signer2 to sign before Adding Signature, is this possible.  I have tried inserting the adobe text tags into the PDF field but when it goes for signing the text tag renders in plain text.  Is there a way to make sure that when uploading a PDF document, a specific field on the PDF document requires input from the signer at stage x
