two different initials?

Signature and Initial fields are all cross linked, so what you want to do isn't supported using an Initials field. In all cases, all initial/signature fields that are identified for any one recipient must contain the same content.

I don't know your form or the context of what you are trying to do, but two work-arounds come to mind:

1. Just use text fields.

Typically, when people are looking for initials, they are looking for a positive assertion to agree with some sub-set of terms. A text field can contain any text which can be both good and bad. The big negative is that the initials wont have the script like font, but the goal of positive acceptance is achieved.

2. If you have a Business or Enterprise level of service (which buys you conditional logic), you could use radio buttons or a check box to selectively expose a field.

For example, you could:

• Create a check box. 
• Design that check box to be checked by default.

• Place an Initials field and set the condition to be true if the Checkbox is checked

• Place a required text field and set the condition to be visible if the Checkbox is False

          It is also possible to validate this field using a regular expression to only accept No, or Decline, or whatever you prefer.

• Stack the initial and text field.
• Save the document

It's a little cumbersome given that you have to add the checkbox, but it permits the more formal Initial field, and makes it optional by condition.
