unable to apply signature

Question

I am unable to apply my signature to a document. The blue box once applied to page does not trigger any options to include signature. I can edit the pdf and apply text and use my name with a brush script for now. Also when I try to add a date the numbers do not come up as numbers but rather as strange symbols.

Could you please let us know how the form was sent to you?

Would you mind sharing the screenshot of the window where you open the document?

When you say, "I can edit the pdf and apply text," which application are you using to make changes?

It would be helpful to share a screen recording of how you open the PDF and try to fill it.
