Using Digital IDs

I am trying to determine if the our document signing process can be completed using Adobe DC.  Goes something like this...

1)  We receive an email with a pdf attachment

2)  The user saves the file locally and applies his Digital ID (.pfx certificate)

3)  The user then attaches that to an email and sends it on to the next user

Thanks.

Thanks for responding SimonATS.  I left out the most crucial part of my question and apologize for that.  We need to be able to sign via an apple device.  We have been using acrobat pro on the desktop for many years to accomplish the signing via a .pfx certificate.  Now we want to be able to complete the process via an Apple Ipad.   Thanks.

ah indeed rather important that bit info as Mobile acrobat does not allow for signing with digital signatures. You can sign using e-signatures, but neither will be using digital certificates for signing. (this would be either the fill and sign, or the eSign services, send for signature option)

So if we are working on an iPad is there an additional app we purchase to work w adobe in order to get the signing with digital certificates?
