Question

We have a need to sign documents in Power Apps using a common access card (CAC). Is it possible to do a CAC signature in Power Apps using Adobe Sign or Adobe PDF Services?

Our PDF documents that require signatures, need to be signed using a common access card (CAC) that’s plugged into a card reader attached to a workstation.

We can do it with the Adobe Acrobat application installed on the workstation.  We want to do it in web-based Power Apps.

Does the Adobe Sign or PDF Services connectors for the Power Platform support this functionality?

    Hi goodjohnscott,

    Thank you for reaching out.

In Acrobat Sign, you can add the Digital Signature field to get the signature via the CAC. However, the recipient will need to download the form and use Acrobat to add a signature using the CAC. There is no direct option in Acrobat Sign or the PDF services to add siganture via CAC.

For more information, refer to the information in the following help document: Overview of Digital Signatures in Adobe Acrobat Sign.

Let us know if you are referring to something else or have any questions.

    Thanks,
