Widget Questions....getting frustrated
We currently have a single fillable form that is an online job application. Currently we use Adobe Forms Central which is being shutdown in July. I need to find a replacement for a simple task: Static link on our website that takes a potential employee to a .PDF fillable form of our job application which they can submit to us. Adding the ability to sign the form is a huge bonus, but not required.
I signed up for a 30 day free trial of the Adobe Document Cloud / eSign services. Taking our document, adding it as a template to the library, I can add the new signature fields and send the document to be "filled out and signed" and that all works great.
So then I move over to Widgets which sounds exactly like what I am looking for, which is a version of the "send to be filled out and signed" but as a link on a webpage instead of an e-mail. Instead I get something that appears to be almost completely useless.
First, why can I not add signature fields or tweak a Widget form the same way as in the library template to "sign and send"? You can only upload a form and then it generates a hosted link.
Second, when filling out a fillable form, none of the data is retained from the widget link. You fill it all out, enter your name and e-mail at the bottom and all the data is dumped and a blank copy of the form is saved with a signature at the bottom. Lovely.
All I need is the functionality of "Get a document Signed" combined with a widget / website link to the fillable form to be filled out and signed. Does this exist? Is there a better Adobe solution to this or do I need to look elsewhere?
