I have recently received a large number of “Quality Issues” rejections on Adobe Stock.

The rejected files include both food photography and outdoor/travel photography, while some of the same types of images are accepted by another stock platform.

I understand that “Quality Issues” can cover several technical problems. Could you please help me identify the most likely issues in these examples — focus/sharpness, noise, exposure, compression, processing artifacts, or something else?

I’m especially interested in learning what I should check before submitting future images rather than simply resubmitting these files.

Thank you for your feedback.

Regarding the specific points that can be assessed from this image:
The cherry blossom image contains a large area of shadow.
You should consider the time of day and shoot with front lighting, or use retouching to brighten the shadowed areas.
Since a vast number of flower and landscape images are submitted, even minor issues can easily lead to rejection.

The food photograph has a sloppy layout.
The presentation of the rice and natto is messy and not ideal.
The way the shadows fall is also a concern.
The chopstick wrapper could potentially lead to rejection due to intellectual property issues.

While other stock sites may approve images without rigorous inspection, they allow buyers to zoom in and examine details before purchasing.
Since Adobe Stock does not offer an enlargement feature for previews, staff members inspect every aspect of the image.
Rights-related issues are also strictly checked to ensure buyers do not have to worry about them later.

Thank you very much for taking the time to review my images and provide detailed feedback.

Your comments about lighting, shadows, composition, and the overall review process were very helpful. I’ll keep these points in mind when shooting and selecting images for future submissions.

    I appreciate your advice.
