4 AI Images Rejected Unknown Reason

Greetings All,

I'm fairly new here, so just following up advice from adobe stock stating to get specific feedback. Now the 4 images that were rejected were images from a group of about 16 AI generated images. The common denominator of these is that the image characters all have the letters \DEV on their T-shirts (to denote "software developer"). All other characters are without any letters or words.

Does anyone know from the looking at the images or from what I described could be the reason for these not being accepted?

I think it's strictly due to the lettering on the shirts, regardless if the term is not trademarked. You are most likely selling to graphic designers who would prefer a "blank canvas" on which to insert their own wording, without first having to remove something that its already there. Or let's say a person who is NOT a graphic designer would want to purchase a more generic image because they would know squat about how to remove the text. In other words, the text is pigeon-holing the assets for a specific use, rather than letting the buyer decide how it should be used.

Of course, there's a whole market out there selling t-shirts with very specific designs and verbiage, and that's where the use of the word /DEV might be better suited.

Carefully re-read your Stock Contributor User Guide.

Pay attention to the DOs and DON'Ts section.

Customers can add custom words or phrases to images after purchase. That's their choice, not yours.

Thanks @daniellei4510 that was my hunch as well. I'm just learning so will no doubt run into some of these issues in the beginning, thanks again for your input.

I'll just upload them again without the letters/word and see how I go.

Adobe gave you a reason for the rejection, so the reason is not unknown. Please tell us that reason (the header is enough).

If it was for intellectual property violation, DEV is a registered trademark.

Not sure which of these could be the reason, but the blurb seems to me a generalization, there is no specific reason mentioned, only the advice to find help on this forum.

BTW Regarding the term "DEV" for developer, it's generally not trademarked because it is descriptive of the profession. If someone attempted to trademark it, they might face challenges due to its descriptiveness.

So you got a refusal on quality issues. Show us an asset as submitted.

If you want to challange the trademarks, do ahead. They have been registered. And Adobe will not challenge those. (I agree, that DEV is a common abreviaton of developer, but it still is a registred trademark.)
