700+ photos on Adobe Stock – is my growth on the right track?
Hi everyone,
I'm a photographer from Spain and I've been building my Adobe Stock portfolio seriously over the last months. I'd really appreciate some honest feedback from experienced contributors.
At the moment I have 702 approved assets, mostly photographs: travel, architecture, Spanish towns and cities, landscapes, animals and documentary/street photography.
My current numbers are:
• 702 approved assets
• 32 downloads in the last 12 weeks
• $22.67 earned in the last 12 weeks
• 7 downloads / $5.29 this week so far
• 32 different photographs have generated at least one sale
• My current weekly ranking is around 46,500
I also have around 300 additional photographs waiting to be reviewed and submitted, so I'm expecting my portfolio to grow considerably over the next few months.
One thing I've noticed is that my sales are very distributed. I don't really have a "bestseller" that sells repeatedly. Instead, many different photographs generate occasional individual sales.
My questions are:
- Does this sales pattern look normal for a portfolio of around 700 images?
- Is 32 different images generating sales a good sign, even if most have only sold once?
- At what portfolio size did you personally start noticing a significant change in sales?
- For a portfolio focused mainly on travel, architecture, landscapes, animals and documentary photography, what would you recommend I focus on from here?
- Is there anything you wish you had known when you had around 500–1,000 assets?
I'm not looking for a get-rich-quick answer. I'm mainly trying to understand whether I'm building the portfolio in the right direction and what I could improve.
Thanks in advance for any advice or experiences you can share!
