A number of my photo's has not been accepted due quality reasons - can you explain why?

Correct answer Nancy OShea

It's rare that we get to see such nice compositions here. However, I'll limit my remarks to this photo only.

I think the exposure is a little uneven.  The sky is washed out and lacks much color vibrance. Foreground shadows may need adjustment too. Check your white balance for too much blue. And it's tilted slightly to the left. Straighten horizontal lines.

It's a good photo. I think with minor corrections, it will be accepted.

Hope that helps.

Hello Ricky, thank you for your response. Here are the photo's again. The B&W corrected.

I think you should upload the original photos so people can provide useful feedback.

Below are some larger versions. Hopefully this is OK now.

Hello,

In order to explain why you need to post larger examples. Thumbnail sizes are just too small to say anything!

Don't submit B&W by the way!

Can I ask why B&W should not be posted? I might be wrong but somewhere in the guidelines, I read that contributors can upload up to three variations of the photos (color filters I guess). Could you clarify?
