Account Deactivation for “Suspicious Activity” – Seeking Help & Similar Experiences (Case #00469398)

Hello Adobe Community,

I need your help and any feedback you might have from similar experiences.

My Adobe Stock contributor account was recently deactivated with the message that it was due to “suspicious activity.” I received the notification both on the website and by email, but no clear explanation of what activity was considered suspicious.

I have always submitted my work personally, and all the videos uploaded to Adobe Stock are filmed by me and owned by me. I have not knowingly violated any of Adobe Stock’s Submission Guidelines or Contributor Terms.

The only related detail I can think of is that I used a third-party tool called Microstock Plus to submit one of my videos for review. That video was accepted and published on Adobe Stock, but I am not sure if submitting it through this external platform may have triggered some internal flag or compliance concern.

My case number with Adobe Support is 00469398, and I am waiting for more details from them, but I would really appreciate hearing from anyone who might have experienced:

  • A similar “suspicious activity” account deactivation

  • Whether using submission tools like Microstock Plus affected your account

  • How you resolved the issue or got clarification from Adobe

  • Any advice on what I should include in my follow-up communication with Contributor Support

I value being part of Adobe Stock and want to comply fully with all policies. I am just looking for clarity and constructive feedback so I can resolve this.

Thank you in advance!

Best regards,
Islam

Re-read the TERMS you agreed to when you joined Stock Contributors.

https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/help/submission-guidelines.html

No explanation is needed. You're a supplier, not a customer.

Stock can deactivate accounts & perform an audit whenever they detect unusual activity, including but not limited to fraud, unusual sales/cancellation requests, content spamming, IP infringement, or quality complaints from 3rd parties, etc...

This is a private matter between you and Stock Contributor Support, not fellow users in this community:

https://contributor.stock.adobe.com/contact

Be patient. It may take several weeks for an investigation to conclude. Meanwhile, work on other projects. Submit content to other stock services.

Good luck.

The submission tool you used didn't cause this suspension. "Suspicious activity" refers to a pattern of excessive downloads. If Adobe confirms that you had nothing to do with those downloads, they will restore your account. Unfortunately, it can take quite some time for them to complete their investigation.

"Suspicious activity" may have nothing to do with anything you did yourself. Someone could have used a stolen credit card to purchase your assets, for example. You have a case number, and I assume you have or will use the Contact us you see when attempting to access your dashboard. After that, your only option is to wait while Adobe investigates. And, unfortunately, investigations can take weeks or even months, depending on the number of investigations ahead of yours.
