Question

Additional account for AI images.

Hi,

I have a nearly 10-year-old active account consisting of vectors, photos, and videos, but during the last year I've also submitted AI images (200-300 files)

Now I'm considering creating an additional contributor account, where I will submit all the new AI images (but not the duplicates from the first account) while the first account will be used for vectors, photos, and videos.

Adobe says: You may create more than one contributor account if you wish to track different asset types in separate accounts, e.g., video submissions versus image submissions, or generative AI submissions versus traditional photos or illustrations.

So the question is - should I delete all the AI images I've already submitted to the first account, or can I leave them so I don't violate the rules?

Thank you!

1. There is no guarantee that deleted images will be accepted a 2nd time.  It's not worth the risks.

2. There's no upside in having multiple accounts unless your Portfolio is reaching a million assets.

If you open up another account exclusively for AI images, but you already have AI images in your existing account, you are in violation of the guidelines. Adobe has suspended accounts for just this reason. Therefore, you would need to delete all of the AI images from your current account first.  Read clause 6.2 of the Contributor agreement regarding deleting images.

That's a very useful answer. Thank you.

Why would you want to do this? There is no reason for the extra work.

Well, I've heard some cases when contributor's accounts who were working specifically on AI images, were banned for some unknown reasons and then it took a lot of time for them to regain the access. I don't want to risk my main portfolio and that's why I'm thinking of creating a new one for AI images.

There is always a reason why an account gets banned. If you follow the T&C, you will not have an issue. It is true that a lot of AI accounts get deactivated, but it is always because the T&C's were broken. Spamming, copyright infringement, etc..
