Adobe stock contributor Account validation issue

Please help me!

I get email

"Your account was blocked after we noticed that you have submitted Generative Ai content that is not within our guidelines. You have submitted files that refer to famous artists, people, characters from popular culture, and/or other existing subjects such as video games in the image, title or keywords. We take intellectual property rights very seriously and your uploads are a violation of these rights and thus violate the upload guidelines. Your account will remain blocked until further notice." I am a vector artist, everything is drawn by hand. I have never used AI or uploaded such works. Which is what I wrote about in my reply. What should I do? After my reply to this letter, support does not respond. This happened exactly after a request to withdraw my $40 on my account, as some users had, will I lose this money too? Help, please, I saw that the Adobe workers are answering here

Correct answer Kyuubisa

September 1, I was unblocked. In total, I wrote two letters after that message. I described the essence of the problem and provided a link where in the post the company writes that fanart can be used for commerce. I didn’t receive any answer, they just silently unblocked me, removing those materials that allegedly violated the rules. In short, it's best not to risk doing something related to games, even if their company allows it, since Adobe doesn't look at whether it's allowed or not. Thankfully it ended well for me. Hopefully there won't be any more jokes like this.

After reading through the replies to this post, it's not clear to me exactly why your account was temporarily suspended, but you hint towards it having to do with video games?

If that is the case, Adobe may have accepted your assets without realizing they infringed on someone elses Copyright/Trademark, and then suspended your account when they realized this until it could be cleared up.  Adobe Reviewers can't possibly know everything about everything, so I assume some IP issues slip through the cracks from time to time.

I'm glad it was able to be cleared up.  A big part of why we are able to answer questions on the forum is from other users reporting their experience, so thanks for sharing 🙂

Cheers!

Please re-read the first post. I was accused of using artificial intelligence and copyright infringement. They blocked me because of copyright, and I don’t know how I am involved in artificial intelligence. Initially, I did not understand this part of the violation. Just copyright - okay, but what do I have to do with AI if I've never used it? All in all. I'm glad this has been resolved. I'm just never going to use any theme again that Adobe can take on in their own way.

Let's just pray that this is just a learning process for Adobe and its contributors. I love being a contributor for Adobe. It gave me direction and purpose. I do hope they are sincerely considering all accounts they block. There has got to be a better solution for when a contributor makes an honest mistake due to a lack of understanding of IP and the guidelines.

It's not possible for Adobe to differentiate between an "honest mistake" and a "dishonest mistake". Not having read the Contributor Agreement, nor the guidelines and help pages is really not a defense. There are pages and pages of IP info and guidelines on the Help Pages. Read them all and then read them again...

I agree. Still hope Adobe can see it to unblock my account due to any lack of savvy or due diligence on my part. I miss being part of the Adobe contributor family. I'm retired, but being a contributor makes me feel like I can still be part of something meaningful as an artist.

Having same issue. Only I have accrued $1024 commission without requesting any payout. There has got to be a better for them to approach this. Why not just freeze the image(s) in question until deletion or compliance is achieved.

I keep hearing that blocked accounts never get reinstated - scary.

Like @Jill_C mentioned, I've also seen several instances of accounts being suspended for minor infractions and later retored so it's not out of the realm of possibility.  It really depends on why the account was suspended.

For more serious violations like fraudulent activity, I've never heard of someone getting their accounts back so I think it's safe to assume those are permanently terminated.

But that's just what I've seen other post here in the forums and we can only speculate as we aren't Adobe employees here, it really is best to wait for Adobe's reply and communicate directly with them.

Cheers!

In terms of? Can they calmly slander me and block my account with earned funds?
