Adobe Stock Rejecting Upscaled Images – What Changed?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been using the Upscayl desktop app for image upscaling for about a year, and until recently 60–70% of my images were approved on Adobe Stock without quality issues.

Over the last week, approvals have dropped to around 10%, with most images now being rejected for “quality issues.” I’m using the same software, same settings, and same workflow as before, and I don’t see any visible quality problems in the rejected images.

Has Adobe Stock updated its quality standards or AI/upscaling review process recently?
Is anyone else facing a similar increase in rejections for upscaled images?

Any insights would be appreciated. Thanks!

It varies. Assets are randomly assigned to the next available Reviewer. Most assets are examined by different people with different levels of experience. Some Reviewers see more than others due to their training.

Feel free to submit your Stock refusals to other services.

Upscale less agressively. Keep your assets sharp when viewed at 100%.

Pretty much, yes. Especially for AI images. Try a better upscaler.

Over the past few weeks, I have been uploading my upscaled images to Adobe Stock. Previously, around 60-70% of my images were approved without any quality issues. However, recently, the approval rate has dropped significantly, and most of my images are being rejected due to quality concerns.

You are not addressing Adobe here but contributors like yourself. Asking for an appeal of your submissions will not work. Correct any issues and try resubmitting. If you need assistance, post your rejected assets here and we will try our best to be of assistance before you resubmit.
