Advice on technical issue rejections

I had some of my photos rejected because of technical issues. Those same photos were approved on some other stock photo sites,
so I'd like to know is there something in particular that Adobe looks into when considering technical quality of photos compared to other stock photo sites?

here are two of the rejected photos

DOF is a lesser problem, in the contrary, this can be very pleasant if it is done correctly. You have, however, strong artefacts in the picture, which let me think that you did a lot of noise reduction and sharpening (here seen at 200%).

The cows-in-the-mountains image also has signs of over processing. The whites have no structure, the blacks have no structure and in addition, the histogram shows missing whites and blacks. Here are also signs of excessive noise reduction and re-sharpening.

Hi @OK82,

I also believe the livestock photo also has white balance issue. I believe it too is too blue.

Best wishes

In addition to what @Ricky336 said regarding white balance and vibrance, I also think the wine glass image has a focus (depth of field) issue.  Only one the glass on the right is in focus and not all the way down to the stem either.  There is also noise issue.

Regarding the herd of cows, again I see a noise issue and the shadows could be lifted so that you get better details on the darker cows.  In the sky portion, you have one burnt out pixel.  Also any of the birds in the sky should get cloned out because they just look like dust spots from that distance.

I hope this helps.

In addition, look how noisy the sky is in the above photo.

Hello,

From my side, I think the white balance in the wine glasses shot is too blue. Also, just a bit more vibrance and contrast could be added. The herd of cows shot could do with more contrast and vibrance as well. Bring more life into the shot. However, I do wonder about the commercial aspect of both of these. The shots are very general, and there are 1000s of such shots. I don't think they stand out that well.

Have a read of this. It's a brief guide on image quality:
