Question

AI Background Removal vs Photoshop for Adobe Stock

If I generate an image using AI and then remove the background using an AI background removal tool (such as Pixelcut or PhotoRoom), is that acceptable for Adobe Stock? Or is it better to remove the background manually in Adobe Photoshop?

Does using an AI background removal tool have any impact on account safety, reviews, or the risk of suspension, assuming the final image meets Adobe Stock's quality guidelines?

Thank you for your guidance.

If edges remain when you upload an image in PNG format after removing the background, it will be rejected.
You can verify this by importing your work into a program like Photoshop and changing the background to a different color.

    Thank you for your reply.

I understand that clean edges are important and that images with visible edge artifacts may be rejected.

However, I would like to clarify my original question. Is it acceptable to use an AI background removal tool (such as Pixelcut or PhotoRoom) for Adobe Stock submissions, as long as the final PNG has clean edges and meets Adobe Stock's quality standards? Or does Adobe recommend removing the background manually in Photoshop instead?

    Thank you for your clarification.

As long as the result is beautiful, it doesn't matter what tools you use.
Photoshop isn't the only tool out there.
