Another rejection query

Hi there.

This image was created, not intended to be completely all in focus.

Why would this image not make it in.. or is it something that has no appeal.

Thanks everyone

Adobe is looking for in-focus, subtly edited, realistic images. While the multiple treatments you have applied are creative, it's not the sort of imagery that they believe to have commercial appeal.

Hi @CharmB ,

If you are new a few files that would otherwise be rejected for technical issues might get accepted, but not much. I believe this is done to encourage continuation. That does not mean they will sell much or sell at all. None of my very early photos got sold, but I'm still here.

Your submission must be of such to attract maximum sales potential. What you upload there is suitable for background, and background only except it's used to illustrate a "do not do". If you upload the whole apples as taken with complete edges in tact, it can serve as background, and a whole host of other purposes since the edges would be in tact to accommodate cropping for placement on varied backgrounds or no background at all. This makes your submission more viable for sales. This is what you want to maximize the value of your file. Allow the customers to implement the manipulation they want while you get multiple sale for the same image for unlimited projects and purposes. Follow closely the Adobe Contributor Guidelines and Tips For Getting Your Stock Photo Accepted. Also take a look for some additional tips that will help.

Best wishes

Jacquelin

This picture will be refused as "technical issues", as the manipulations you did are technical issues as defined in the manual. They may also be simply refused for missing appeal, as your edit does not add to the value of the picture. The contrary is true, you limit the usefulness of the picture. You won't get images like this accepted.

Thank you.

It is a bit confusing then, as they have accepted some weird creations from me.  In fact quite a few. And very unrealistic.

Appreciate the feedback.
