Question

Any IP reasons for rejection on this?

Hi all,
I need some advice. I've created some content (videos and photos), all landscape-themed, featuring a large telescope. The telescope in the composition is the Lovell Telescope, a radio telescope located at Jodrell Bank Observatory near Goostrey, UK.

Would the presence of this telescope be a reason for my content to be rejected? (image attached) I haven’t submitted anything yet—just looking for some guidance before I decide what to do with it.

As always, thank you.

Crop & fame your subject, leaving out the surrounding landscape.

Compare your work with other Stock inventory.

Hi @Bardhok.N ,

I'd submit the file and allow the review moderators to decide. However, the the highlights are over exposed and details are lost. In general you seem to have under-expose the frame. There is also a white balance issue.

Best wishes

Jacquelin

You will need to try. But there is also a chance to get refusals for quality reasons for both pictures.

IP rejection is correct. The structure is the main subject in the photo. It is not your property. As a general rule, if the structure can be identified and cannot be removed from the photo without changing the composition of the photo, then you need a release.  For instance, this would probably be ok:

Thank you! I might submit the images under Editorial instead.

I also have a question about content where the main subject is a bridge—specifically, the Clifton Suspension Bridge.
Would this present similar issue if I submit them?

Thanks again.

I am not sure. The bridge is alot smaller than the telescope was. Try and see. It may pass but, your photo has a blue tint that needs correction.
