approval rate

Hello, I’ve noticed that the approval rate has recently dropped sharply. Even when I upload content with different themes, the results remain the same.

Does this mean I should pause uploading to avoid any potential negative impact on my account?

Thank you for your help

Due to the similar content issue, I've slowed down submitting as well. But to answer your question, I doubt it will have any impact on your account. We generally maintain that a minimum of a 50% approval rating is what to aim for, but I believe no one here has ever heard of someone losing their account over a high refusal rate. At that point, it becomes a question of whether it's worth the contributor's time to continue, and only they can make that decision. The number of sales matter as well, regardless of one's refusal rate. If one's assets are selling, despite a low approval rate, is it worth it for that contributor to stay on?

Each year, the standards bar gets higher due to improvements in equipment & software, greater competition from talented Contributors and changing demands for inventory. It's not enough to do 'business as usual' anymore. Stock is seeking innovation.

As we do not understand well, what exactly triggers the similar rejection, we all get a higher rejection rate than before. If there is a negative impact on the accounts with a high rejection rate, it will be equally spread among all contributors. So it won't have a big effect at all.

Reject rates for most of us rose considerably about 6 months ago when Adobe changed their reviewing algorithm and standards. I actually stopped submitting new images for a while because it seemed such a waste of time just to have a large percentage of them rejected. I am now back to submitting just small batches of 4-5 assets at a time. Most are getting accepted. Having a higher reject rate doesn't necessarily affect your account adversely; however, it is a painful waste of time to invest the effort in editing, submitting, titling and keywording just to have them rejected. You'll have to decide if that's a risk you want to take.
