Question

Are nipples now disallowed?

I noticed that most of my 80+ recent submissions were accepted, but one – which seems innocuous enough to me but which I may need some feedback on – was rejected for being a non-compliant image. After looking through the few that were rejected, I believe it’s because male nipples are no longer allowed in illustrations. Is this true? I see they are still allowed in photographs, and were allowed in illustrations up until about 6 or 7 weeks ago, but now they’re not.

Also, women with snakes in their mouths, or any kind of physical passion (even if non-graphic) also seem to be disallowed for the same reason. Can anyone confirm?

BACKGROUND: Adobe Stock Safe Search was a filter designed to hide adult, explicit, or sensitive graphic content from search results.  Safe Search was for Stock users over 18 who lived in countries where adult content is legal.  However, because Adobe updated its content policies to ban nude and explicit assets entirely, the dedicated Safe Search toggle has been phased out or made inactive on the platform.

In a nutshell, Stock has adopted a more family-friendly content stance to avoid any regional or cultural conflicts related to the global distribution of its products.

    Hope that helps.

If a visual directly shows intimate anatomy or depicts overt sexual interaction, Adobe classifies it as explicit, rendering it non-compliant for the Adobe Stock contributor catalog.

And the first one could be construed (just guessing here) as a woman in a vulnerable position. The guy might be there to help her...or he has other more nefarious intensions.

Not sure about the nipples, but maybe potential “animal harm” with the snake image?

That’s a really good point – must be what it was! Thank you. Although she’s not eating it, but it may be a gray area.

And I should note that I have no issues with this, just want some specificity. In fact, I applaud the consistency – if female nipples are disallowed, then male nipples should be as well!
