Question

Are seamless loops animated in After Effects from AI-generated still images allowed as motion graphics?

I have created five seamless 4K motion graphics loops, each 10 seconds long, using Adobe After Effects and still images originally generated with Midjourney.

The animations include flowing liquid effects around product podiums, a marbled-paper kaleidoscope, and a moving mid-century geometric pattern. I understand that these files must be labeled as created using generative AI.

However, the video guidelines state that contributors should not create videos from still images, except for timelapse or stop motion.

Could someone clarify whether still-image-based artwork that has been substantially animated and composited in After Effects is eligible for submission as motion graphics?

Or does this restriction exclude any animation that uses an AI-generated still image as its source, regardless of the amount of animation work involved?

I would also like to confirm whether fully procedural animations created directly in After Effects, without AI-generated source images, are eligible.

Thank you for helping me understand the distinction before submitting further work.

You must be in full compliance with BOTH Video & GenAI requirements from your Contributor User Guide.

    Video starts here:

    1. https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/submit-your-content/submit-videos/video-submission-overview.html

    GenAI starts here:

    1. https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/submit-your-content/submit-generative-ai-content/generative-ai-content-guidelines.html

Submissions containing ANY AI must be submitted as GenAI video.

Loops from After Effects are OK. And AI images are OK, providing they meet all the other Stock requirements.

Carefully read Midjourney’s TERMS. You’ll need a paid plan that gives you access to “stealth mode” so you can conceal your prompts & products from public view. Budget accordingly.

    Good luck.
