Question

assets rejected with similar content issues

Sometimes, to ensure my assets will be accepted by the moderators, I use the "Find Similar" feature on the official Adobe Stock dashboard. I input the asset I intend to submit and enter relevant keywords, yet the results show only a handful of items—fewer than 50. A small part of me thinks, "This is a great opportunity; there are no similar assets out there," but in reality, my assets are repeatedly rejected due to "similar content" issues. Being only human, I sometimes wonder: are the moderators being unfair, dishonest, or opaque? Is there nepotism involved? How exactly do they curate submissions? What is the point of the "Find Similar" feature if assets that clearly aren't similar still get rejected? Ultimately, as an ordinary person, I have no choice but to accept the situation—so where can I turn to voice my grievances?

“I have no choice but to accept the situation—so where can I turn to voice my grievances?’

You can voice your grievances here, but nothing will change. It’s like talking to the choir.

You have to accept it and move on.

As we have often stated “a “similar” rejection can be based on several factors:

  • similar in the database
  • similar in your submission
  • similar in your portfolio
  • similar meta data
  • a moderators mistake
