Author account suspension

Good afternoon, dear Adobe community.
My Adobe Stock author account has been deactivated for over three months. I have contacted support several times but have not received a response. I have already created two requests: 00452674 and 00472273. In the chatbot, I only found support for product questions. I can't find any feedback for authors. It seems that I left a post in the community section about a product issue. I can't find how to reply to messages on the forum, but I can see that there are emails. I can't find the post itself. I decided to create another request here.

Lately, I have been uploading videos created with AI.
Here's what I would like to clarify:
– I always use a paid commercial Midjourney (Pro) license, which allows commercial use and distribution.
– Each video was properly marked with a check mark “Created using generative AI tools.”
– All of my works were unique in both content and theme, covering ecology, holidays, nature, technology, and people.
– Each video had its own unique title and keywords, written by hand when submitted to Adobe Stock.

The only possible problem that comes to mind is that many of the source files had similar names, differing only in numbers (e.g., “eco_energy_01,” “eco_energy_02,” etc.). I only used this structure to organize local files, not to send spam or duplicate content. Now I realize that this could have triggered an automated spam detection system.

My account has about 1,500 vector works and 2,500 generated videos — all original, created with great effort and in full compliance with Adobe's recommendations. These are huge financial investments by my country's standards for AI subscriptions and file enhancement services.

I live in Ukraine, where the situation is very difficult due to the ongoing war. Despite this, I work every day creating content for Adobe Stock, which is my main source of income for supporting my two children. This platform has played a huge role in my life and creative development.

Dear colleagues, please help me find support for authors.
I cannot understand the reason for the account suspension. How soon can I expect my account to be restored?
I would appreciate any help. All the best.

@Valentin336229564vl4  you are assuming that your experience applies to all blocked accounts. Many accounts are restored. There is no incentive for Adobe to block accounts just to seize their earnings. Remember that Adobe makes $2 for $1 in royalties that a contributor earns. If it is a productive account with regular sales and fully in compliance with guidelines, it is more productive for Adobe to restore the account so that the assets on that account can continue to be licensed.

@Valentin336229564vl4,

When sharks smell blood, they attack… 🐠 🦈🦈

It’s always a good business strategy to put your eggs in more than one basket. That goes for everyone, regardless of account status.

Don’t wait. You have no exclusive agreements with Stock. Go ahead & submit content to other services.

We already have over 1,33,348 videos on Shutterstock and Envato. You should worry about yourself.

Thank you for your advice. I really hope my account will be restored, as the suspension happened without any clear reason. If the situation is not resolved soon, I will definitely consider exploring Envato as an alternative.

Don’t waste your time. They will never restore your account. From what I’ve seen, their policy seems to be that once they block you, they never respond to your emails and never care about your problem. In that case, imagine how much money they could be taking from creators   and then blocking them! this is a satanic company!

If you used the Chatbot you will never get an answer. You must follow directions and use the “Contact Us” link you are provided on the popup window you get when you try to login to your contributor account.

Yes, I contacted a representative, but it turned out to be Adobe's product support department. I already mentioned above that it is much easier to find product support than author support. The representative did not provide a link to the feedback form. I filled out the form, described the situation, and a new ticket was created. This slows down the verification process. I haven't found any other ways to contact author support. If anyone here on the forum can help me, I would really appreciate it.😌

As @RALPH_L said, use the Contact us link that you see when you attempt to access your dashboard. There are dozens upon dozens of investigations going on (primarily with regard to AI accounts), and reaching a representative, even if possible when it comes to account deactivations, will not expedite Adobe’s investigation or place yours ahead of others. It’s simply not the way it works. Use the Contact us link and wait. It’s your only option.

File names are not a reason for blocking your account. Adobe doesn’t care what you name your files. Besides, all assets are auto-renamed with ID numbers at submission.

Accounts are blocked for suspicious account activity or for violating the Stock TERMS of agreement. Have you re-read the TERMS you agreed to?

Be patient. There’s no way to determine how many other investigations are ahead of yours.

In the meantime, work on other projects. Submit content to other services.

Thank you for your reply.
Of course, I carefully read the rules before uploading files. I wasn't too active. I uploaded no more than 80 files per day. I know that many authors upload many more files. No one set a limit on uploads. If the reason isn't the file names, then I don't understand what the problem is at all.

Suspicious account activity:

  • Unusual sales/cancellations.
  • Misleading content.
  • Content or keywords that violate IP.
  • Complaints received from 3rd parties.
  • Other violations of Stock Contributor TERMS.

If you’ve participated here in the forum in the past, you should already know that Adobe personnel do not frequent this forum, and you will receive no reply here from an Adobe rep, particularly on private account matters. We really have no way of predicting if and when your account could be restored. Submitting multiple cases actually just serves to further clog the Support System and slow down response.

Thank you for participating in the discussion of my question.
I saw in other discussions that there are still those who can forward the message to customer support. Maybe someone will help me too. I am very thankful.😉

Three months is probably still within the amount of time it takes for Adobe to investigate disabled accounts. You should not continue attempting to contact them, as each time you do, you create new case numbers, potentially slowing down Adobe’s investigation. The fact that you have case numbers indicates Adobe is aware of the issue and an investigation is underway. Adobe may have numerous cases under investigation, which has become common since they began accepted AI content. Your only option is to continue waiting and to look into options for submitting elsewhere in the meantime.

Thank you.
It's very kind of you to answer my question. How long does the investigation usually take? Will I be notified of the reasons for the block and the support team's decision regarding my account?🙄
