Can my Wife also use my PC for his Adobe account?

Hi,  Everyone
I have a question regarding contributor accounts and using them on the same computer.

I currently have an active contributor account that I regularly use on my personal PC. Now, my wife is interested in creating her own contributor account and intends to use the same PC for her activities. Her setup would include:

  • A separate email address
  • A different browser profile (but still on the same machine)

Given this situation, I would like to know the following:

Is it allowed for two different individuals to operate separate contributor accounts from the same physical device?

  1. Are there any policies or restrictions we should be aware of regarding multiple accounts on a single computer?
  2. Would there be any risk of account suspension or any sort of violation if she creates and uses her account on the same PC?
  3. Is it possible for both accounts to remain logged in simultaneously (using different browser profiles)? Or should we be careful to log out of one before using the other?

We are committed to following all rules and guidelines, and I want to ensure we do everything properly from the beginning.

Any clarification or official guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Just to be safe, I would create two computer USER profiles— one log-in for you and a separate log-in for your wife.  Keep your Stock assets separate.

Each user will have their own Adobe Contributor email, password, tax forms, and verified PayPal, Payoneer or Skrill account to receive royalty payments.

Hi @CreaVix ,

To add to what @Nancy OShea said, you would be submitting different identifications. I don't believe the account allows for two accounts to be active at the same time. If the last active account was not logged out, that will open and the user will need to log out of that to log into a new account. So having two accounts logged into at the same time should not be an issue.

All that you need to know about the guidelines and agreement is here.

Best wishes

This doesn't make sense.

If you use the same browser, you can be logged into only one account at the same time. But there are 2 possibilities to be signed in to 2 (or more accounts) simultaneously:

  1. You use different browsers
  2. You use different browser profiles. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-remove-switch-firefox-profiles#:~:text=You%20can%20have%20multiple%20Firefox,%2C%20rename%2C%20and%20switch%20profiles.

I would not recommend one or the other, as someday, you will confuse one with the other.

I would really use two user profiles and sign in and out each time when starting to work and stopping to work.

Anyhow, this always reminds me of a fishy solution to create two accounts where only one account is allowed, to circumvent the account limitations. I'm not saying that this is the case here. But there is a probability that this is the motivation. I have no issue with that, but I fear that one day the issue will be that the same assets get uploaded to both accounts. You easily lose oversight here.

You also need two different mobile phone numbers.

There is no direct issue with this, if you really pay attention not to mix up the assets, which I fear will be an issue at some stage of your contributor's life.

(as a side note: if you intend using this to open a second account: it's not worth the future trouble.)

There is no need for seperate logon profiles. Adobe has no access to access about your account. The only access that Adobe has  is to your region, your IP address, your browser type, and your operating system. Other information is not transfered via http.

No, there is no need for that, but it is the clean solution to this problem.

There is no issue with sharing a PC or IP address to maintain separate Contributor accounts. You must be very careful to ensure that you each submit only the assets you have created and don't upload the same assets on both accounts. We get this question often here in this forum, and it often means that a single Contributor wants to operate multiple accounts. This is now forbidden by Adobe.

You can use the same computer, but of course you will need to submit two different tax forms.
