Do you use filters in your contributor portal?

Contributors can manage their content within the contributor portal to feature specific assets, and they can also filter content in their portal dashboard by asset type or price.

Customers don't search by Contributors. They search by keywords for assets that fit their criteria.

When your portfolio grows closer to 1 million assets, contact Stock Contributor Support and ask for a waiver to create a 2nd Contributor account.  Until then, you need not worry about portfolio size limits.

Adobe has stated that once you approach a million assets on your account, you can consider opening another account, though that requires their permission to do so.  However, the ability to display those assets is limited to 100 pages of 100 assets, so it seems managing your portfolio once you exceed 10,000 could be challenging.

I have never seen a limit on the number of assets you are allowed.
I think a limit of 10,000 is not very likely.
