Cant figure out why I get technical issues with these photos?

The lack of focus is a major problem. That's probably not to correct.

A different problem is that any liquid is always level, and the picture needs to reflect that.

Then you have contrast and exposure difficulties.

And because of the high ISO, you have a high noise level.

…and my settings in Adobe Camera Raw:

The lens you used is a cheap, but nice prime lens. You should, however, train your focussing ability. At f1.8, a small movement can bring the camera out of focus. High ISO brings a lot of noise that needs to be compensated for. And you should be able to take pictures hand held with longer exposure times.  

.Maybe if the shot was more vertical (note that the liquid is also tilted) it would be more natural I think you should verticalize the photo

I would add more contrast. It's a bit 'flat' as it stands.

The shadows are underexposed and there are artifacts around the top of the glass.

The lights are clipped in the upper part of the image.
