Clarification regarding using an inactive legacy account (created in 2020) for a new niche

Hello Adobe Stock Community and Moderation Team,

I am writing to seek clarification regarding my contributor accounts in light of the updated multiple-account policy (March 25, 2025).

I currently have two Adobe Stock Contributor accounts, both of which were created back in 2020.

  1. First Account: I have been actively working on this account since 2020.
  2. Second Account: This account was also created in 2020 with the intention of starting a different niche in the future. However, I haven't uploaded any content to this account yet; it is currently empty.

As we are now in 2026, I am planning to start working on that second account with a completely different niche/category of content (distinct from my first account).

My questions are:

  • Since both accounts were created in 2020 (long before the March 2025 policy change), is it safe for me to start uploading to the second account now?
  • Does the "Grandfather Clause" apply to an account that was created years ago but remained inactive/empty until now?
  • Are there any specific steps or "Multiple Account Approval" requests I should submit before I start uploading to avoid any automated flagging?

I want to ensure I am fully compliant with Adobe Stock’s terms and avoid any risk of account termination. Any guidance from the experts or Adobe staff would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

Use the Contact Us link on your Stock account page to reach out directly to Adobe Stock Contributor Support team. They do not monitor this forum and would not respond in a public forum to private account matters anyway.

Having multiple accounts is a way of asking “please deactivate my accounts”.
Contact customer support to have the unused account deleted.

    I wouldn’t risk it.

Why do you think you need a separate account for other genres?

Customers find what they need in keyword searches, not by visiting Contributor profile pages.

I just don’t see any upside in splitting content into two accounts.

Should I delete my second account?
