Question

Curation Process can't allow naturally grainy 'noise' stock

I think my most contemporary works just don't fit into the specs for Adobe Stock.  It is a shame to leave out game-changers. Black and Grey in Greyscale is one rejected.  I do minimal editing and my works in this style have a grainy paper which is not noise.  I also have very small holes in my work which are holes, not noise.  I won't train my work to be smooth all the time.

Hi

We would really like to be of better help, in giving you a better understanding why your work(s) are rejected, but we would need to be able to see the work ourselves so that we can analyze it/them.

The aim of Adobe is to help you to submit work that will have the best potential of selling. For example, any color photo can be converted to black and white, No grey scale/black and white can be converted to color. Hence, it will be easier to get color photos sold than black and white. Submitting black and white image is limiting your potential to earn.

A little grain might not be a big deal for printing, but not all the photos licenced are used for printing. Hence again allowing grains in your work will limit the potential of their sale.

Just a point to note, grains must not be confused with texture. In my experience that is not usually the case with noise rejection.

Best wishes

JG

Hello JG,

I have attached an image.  I can tell you it was done at iso 200 F1.8 at a slower shutter on tripod.  The paper is transparent textured and there may also be pinhole dots in one of the paper layers.  I have attached for you to discuss.  Thanks so much for your help.Problem:  Artefacts/Noise
