I am not sure about submission backlog. Some people are consistently having reviews done in fewer than 5 business days. I have files for almost 4 months that are not yet reviewed, however, a file I submitted 2 days ago was reviewed within 24 hours. If you try to submit a ticket you'll get something like this under "content; moderation time", 

"Assets are reviewed in the order they are received, and the wait time can vary depending on the volume of assets in the queue. It can occur that the queue is experiencing a significant backlog, resulting in a longer wait time than usual. Rest assured, you will receive a notification once your assets have been moderated. We sincerely appreciate your patience during this time." and this link

If you continue to generate the ticket you'll end up getting what appears to be 2 auto-responds; one acknowledging receipt of your ticket and the other is basically saying that there is a backlog due to a greater than usually volume of new submission and they have to be carefully checked. No mention is made about contributors who's assets are consistently promptly processed.

You are not addressing Adobe here but contributors like yourself. A lot of people have been experiencing the same issue as yourself and there is nothing we can do to hasten the process. There is probably a very long backlog of submissions in the queue.
