Does Adobe Stock support videos in HEVC (H.265) codec?

Hello everyone, I’d like to ask:
Does Adobe Stock support uploading videos in the HEVC (H.265) codec?
If so, does this have any impact on the asset review process? And if the video is approved by the Adobe Stock curation team, could using this codec affect whether the asset sells or not?

Correct answer Nancy OShea

Read the Video Requirements.

https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/help/video-requirements.html

Video compression (codecs)

We recommend:

  • ProRes
  • H.264

Adobe accepts some unsuported video codecs, but it is always best to use what is documented as supported. You need to try. If it does not get uploaded, or refused, you'll have your answer.

When the moderator can check the asset, it will pass if it meets other criteria, like quality.

If customers can't read the file, it surely affects the sales, as it may eventually be removed afterwards. As said above, use a supported codec. There is no need to risk an unforced error.

Adobe will not accept H.265  use H.264 at normal frame rate and inlcude frame rate you shot it at the end of the video description

What is the "normal" frame rate? As of my experience, there is only one frame rate, and that is the one at which the video will play when you select 1x as speed. And in all circumstances, this should be the framerate at which a video has been shot. There is no need to include the frame rate in the video description, except if the requirements have been changed in the meantime. The frame rate is part of the metadata of the file.
