Question

does uploading photos and then deleting them in the adobe stock contributor account gets flagged as spam and account gets rate limited ?

So today I think I made a mistake . Initially I uploaded 33 images to my contributor account ( I haven't submitted the images yet ) . Then I deleted them all at once due to some formatting issue . When I tried to reupload them, only 25 were accepted and 8 were rejected saying I reached the limit . Now that was okay and I knew that the upload limit exists . But one guy , who is way more experienced than me, told me that what I did was  a blunder and that now adobe stock thinks that my account is spammy and that i will never be able to get the limit increased , basically my account is rate limited forever . Now my question is how much of this is true ? I am new to adobe stock and my account is only a week old .

You are not penalized for deleting photos.

Sounds like scare tactics to me! The limit on your submissions is temporary and will resolve itself within a week. I’m quite sure there will be no long term harm to your account. I sometimes delete uploaded assets before submitting for various reasons, and have never noticed any adverse effects on my account.

Highly doubtful. At worst, it’s merely temporary.

Here’s what Adobe has to say about submission limits:

We’re introducing updated submission limits for Adobe Stock Contributors to help maintain the strength and quality of our growing collection. These updates support the continued success of both our Contributor community and customers alike. When you reach your weekly submission limit or the maximum amount of allowed content pending moderation, you will experience a temporary pause before you can submit additional content.

Dynamic Submission Quotas (Weekly Limit & Pending Moderation Limit):

    • Adobe Stock has implemented updated submission limits to maintain collection quality and manage the volume of content, especially with the rise of generative AI submissions.
    • These limits are not a fixed number for all contributors. They are dynamic and based on several factors related to your account's performance and history, including:
      • Your weekly submission limit.
      • The maximum amount of content you can have pending moderation (in review).
      • Your approval rate and sales performance—a higher acceptance rate and more sales can generally increase your limit over time.

    • • When you reach either your weekly limit or the maximum number of allowed files pending moderation, you will experience a temporary pause before you can submit more content. The limit resets once the pending files have been reviewed or the weekly period resets.
