Question

Exporting, and Deleting within the contributor dashboard/portal.

Often I'm the problem (PEBCAK), however I am certain I have clicked ever page, link, or option and I can't seem to find ways to do the following:

  • Export a list, CSV, txt files, what have you of previously uploaded files and their original file names.
  • Delete photos that have been submitted with either an error, or because after review I realized that they were already accepted.

If I can solve for the former than the latter is likely to not happen again. Other stock sites AT LEAST include the original file name within the cataglog when a list is show or an individual image is clicked.

I upload to the portal via a web interface.

Your original file name does not appear anywhere in your portfolio, nor can you export it. I always paste my original file name in the last keyword field. To delete files that have been submitted but not approved, select the image on the In Review tab and click on "Delete file" in the bottom right corner of the screen. To delete images that have been accepted click on the image from your Dashboard page and when the image appears below click Delete file.

Thanks for chiming in and the workflow suggestion you utilize.  The previous poster is right that you can export a CSV with files names through the payout area of the dashboard, HOWEVER, it seems to be limited to images that have made a sale.

Thanks for chiming in.

There are definitely some shortcomings in the way Adobe handles submitted assets. I submit from within Lightroom, so that helps when it comes to avoiding submitting the same asset accidentally, but it isn't fool-proof (again, PEBCAK). When I'm in doubt about an image I want to submit or begin editing, I search my public profile using keywords likely to pull up a duplicate (if it exists). This process has, in fact, revealed a couple of duplicates that I wasn't even searching for, and I deleted them posthaste.

If you click on the Payout History page link in the upper righthand corner of my Dashboard, then click Activity from the drop-down menu on the left, you can export a CVS file that includes the original file name. You need to select a time period of a maximum of one year, so you would need to do this for each year you've been submitting assets to get the complete list.

You can delete photos by entering the assigned file number on the Dashboard. When you find the asset you are looking for, you can delete it using the Trash icon next to the image.

Thanks that works for images that have made a sale, unfortunaely no dice on duds with no sales.  But it's a step in the right direction, so I appreciate that.
