I have this image rejected due various issues but notthing specific. I'm thinking the problem could be the shallow depth of field which is created on purpose. I'm just starting to upload lots of images here and I want to get the right food content. Thanks

Is this a photo or an image? It appears to be a photo.
When I look at the histogram, your image is a little flat and slightly overexposed.

The photo and histogram are better after adjusting the lighting to bring back the midtones and sharpening the photo. I sharpened with Topaz Photo AI.

Hi @peters16908770 ,

The photo does not have enough depth of field. It's either you went in too close or your camera was not set correctly. Judging from the cropped board, I believe you wen tin too close. The top and bottom of the frame are out of focus.

Also, your composition would have been better with the left cropped edge of the board in the frame.

Best wishes

Jacquelin

It's also cropped a little too tight and missing an edge on the left.

I agree with @RALPH_L  that it is overexposed. I have observed that Adobe is not generally in favor of images with a very shallow DOF. In this case, it really isn't necessary. Having the entire platter in focus would have been better.
