Hi All,

 

First timer here and am wondering about why some of these photos were rejected.  Any help would be greaty appreciated so I can choose better ones in the future.  Flying blind here...Thanks in advance.

The first image has blownout areas in the clouds and is over-saturated.

The second image has noise in the sky.

On the third image, you've missed focus on the eye of the pelican.

The fourth image has underexposed areas.

The final image is blurry.

thank you, all of that makes sense.  How do you know when something is oversaturated?  And for animales, I guess the focus should always be on the eye?

Always check your histogram to discover loss of detail in the shadows and oversaturationn,
