First photo submitted rejected for quality issues. Will you please tell me what is wrong with it?

Unfortunately, this image doesn't meet our quality standards so we can’t accept it into our collection.

Why won’t they just put what the actual reason is?   Will you please review and let me know what is not meeting their quality standards?

When creating an image like this, also remember to provide some room for copy/ text.

Remember to ask yourself who is your audience?
How would they use the image? Where would they use the image? What purpose would this image serve for a potential buyer?

    cheers

Stock customers expect commercial quality images for use in professional projects: print, digital & merchandise.

Before submitting, always compare your best work with available inventory to see if Stock needs it and if it’s better or more unique than what Stock is selling.

Keep in mind, you’re competing with millions of flowers in every size, shape, color & variety. A common rejection reason is for “similar content.”

    https://stock.adobe.com/search?k=flowers  77 million results

    https://stock.adobe.com/search?k=orchid  1.5 million results

    https://stock.adobe.com/search?k=purple+orchid  530K results

    Hope that helps.

If you zoom in to at least 100%, which is what Adobe Moderators always do, you will see that it lacks sharp focus.

In addition to what has already been said, there are shadows of light spots in the background. Also, the histogrram shows some blown out highlights. Here a quick example of how to fix it:

The image is out of focus or blurry.

Please enlarge the image to 100% on your PC screen and check it before posting.
